Introduction
Aluminum ventilation louvers combine light weight, corrosion resistance, and easy customization. They suit facades, HVAC intakes and exhausts, parking garages, plant rooms, gates, fence panels, sunshades, and decorative screens. HHALUM’s BRILLIANCE louvers focus on quality, a wide product range, and meeting customer needs. They let air pass while keeping privacy.
What Is an Aluminum Louver
An aluminum louver is a frame with angled blades. It can be fixed or adjustable. You can add a bug screen, rain shield, acoustic insert, or fire-rated parts. BRILLIANCE louvers use a special V-shaped blade that blocks view fully while keeping air flow. They fit doors, fences, windows, and ventilation openings.
BRILLIANCE Features and Advantages
BRILLIANCE louvers offer solid, practical benefits:
High quality: rigid extruded aluminum that won’t rust. They ship with tabs included for easy installation on outdoor walls or door mounts for door thickness up to 32mm.
Privacy: the special “V” blades ensure 100% view block while allowing unrestricted air flow.
Quiet: rigid design with noise-free components. No vibrating louvers.
Weather and pest proof: designed to stop rain and include a back mesh to keep pests out.
Finish and packaging: anodized or other surface treatments, shrink-wrapped with a solid cardboard backing, and hand-inspected before shipment.
Materials and Surface Treatments
We use common aluminum alloys for durability and workability. For extrusion work, see Aluminum Profile. For CNC parts and fabricated components, see Aluminum Machining and CNC Parts.
Choose a surface finish by environment:
Anodize—good color stability and weather resistance.
Power coating—wide color choices and cost-effective protection.
PVDF—highly weather resistant, best for coastal or industrial sites.
Other decorative or protective options include Wood marble grain, Brushed, Polish, and Electrophoresis. For full process options, see Multiple Surface Treatment Processes.
Key Performance Metrics
Check these technical points when you choose louvers:
Free area: the net open area as a percent. You must get this from the product datasheet.
Pressure drop: the resistance of the louver at different air velocities. Use the curve to match the fan.
Wind load and strength: for exterior walls and high-rise buildings, verify structural support and test data.
Acoustic performance: for noise control, request insertion loss curves in dB.
Rain and pest proofing: confirm back mesh and rain test results if the application needs it.
Simple Calculation Example
Design flow Q = 1.0 m3/s. Target velocity v = 2.5 m/s.
Net area A = Q / v = 1.0 / 2.5 = 0.4 m2.
If the louver free area = 40% → required external opening = 0.4 / 0.4 = 1.0 m2.
Types and Quick Choices
Fixed louvers: low cost and low maintenance. Good for most facades and ventilation.
Adjustable louvers: allow field tuning of airflow. Use where variable flow is needed.
Acoustic louvers: include sound-absorbing inserts for plant rooms and noisy equipment.
Hurricane/impact louvers: reinforced design and testing for high-wind or coastal zones.
Fire and smoke louvers: choose certified models that meet local fire codes.

How to Measure a Grille or Louver Size
Measure the duct or wall opening (the “hole”). Do not measure the grille’s outside frame. The listed size equals the hole size. The overall product outer size is typically the listed size plus 1.5″ (about 38 mm).
The size format is width × height. If your hole is 20″ × 14″, order 20×14. If it is 14″ × 20″, order 14×20.
Installation and Maintenance Tips
Install to the manufacturer’s opening and flange template. Leave room for thermal expansion.
Use proper sealing and a back drip to avoid water entry and condensation.
For large openings, install in sections and add support brackets at joints.
Maintain regularly. Clean surfaces, check seals, and touch up finishes. Coastal sites need more frequent checks and upkeep.
Customization and Purchasing Steps
Customize: size, color, integrated bug mesh, acoustic inserts, rain hoods, or special extrusions. For custom processing, see Customized Processing Service.
What to include in an RFQ: hole size (W×H), blade type (fixed/adjustable), material and finish, quantity, whether a frame or flange is required, packing and delivery address, and the target lead time.
Samples: you can request samples. Use Sample Acquisition Message to leave details. CAD and BIM files are usually free; samples may carry a fee or shipping cost.
MOQ and lead times: small samples can be a few pieces. Non-standard extrusions often need larger minimums. Typical lead time ranges from 2 to 8 weeks depending on complexity.
Technical Support and Documentation
We provide CAD/DWG, Revit/RFA, and 3D STEP files. Download product documents and datasheets from the Product Documentation Download Page. You can also request BIM models early in the project to avoid clashes.
For case studies, see Application Cases. Watch product and installation videos on the Video Page. Check our Latest Catalogue for the full range.
Quality, Tests, and After-Sales
Products go through strict QC and periodic maintenance plans to keep systems reliable for years. We can provide third-party test reports such as salt spray, wind load, and weathering. For end-to-end support, see End-to-End Service & Guarantee System.
Our company follows clear policies for partners and agents. See Agency Policy.
Simple Project Cases
Case A: Underground parking ventilation. High free area fixed louvers with insect mesh met ventilation standards and reduced fan power use.
Case B: Coastal mall facade. PVDF finish louvers with drainage features lowered maintenance needs. See more in Application Cases.
FAQ
How do I get a quick RFQ?
Send hole size (W×H), blade type, material and finish, quantity, and delivery address. We reply with an initial price in 48 hours.
Can BRILLIANCE V-shaped blades fully block view?
Yes. The V-shaped blades give 100% view block while allowing airflow. Check the datasheet for exact free area and pressure drop.
Do you provide CAD or BIM files and samples?
Yes. CAD and BIM files are usually free. Request samples via Sample Acquisition Message. Some samples may need a fee or shipping cost.
